I think it must have certainly been worthwhile back in that time. Although, today they're still teaching much the same stuff. For example, all the accounting I learned was with pen and paper.
However, when you go into accounting firm today, you will not see anyone making any calculations with such stuff. It’s very outdated!
The worst part is don’t see any end in sight. The institutions have a monopoly. They’ve brainwashed an entire culture to believe it’s the surest path to “success,” which is a promise without fulfillment.
Who knows how the balance will be restored, because the institutions don’t have to change. They’ve already got a stream of students coming year after year, why change?
I’m just glad I’m out of it.
