Hi Kevin, it’s been a while, but thanks for the comment.

You’re 100% right, the resistance grows as your adventure becomes less of a pipe dream and more of something that you might actually pull off.

No one was concerned about me writing when I was just doing it in my spare hours while also studying. But when I finished my course, people started to say, “Reece, you need to get a job.”

It’s been about 3–4 months since now, and I’m making about the same as I would if I took an entry level accounting job. Yet, people keep telling me to get a “job.” “It’s not stable,” “you’ll get lonely,” they say.

To them about it’s about status and security, for me it’s personal fulfillment.

In the end, you have to just drown the voices out and focus on what’s right for you. Eventually, your success will speak for itself and they'll understand.
