The power of a simple morning routine
According to Newton’s First Law, all objects in motion tend to remain in motion unless something stops their momentum. While objects at rest tend to remain at rest unless acted on by an outside force.
Thus, if you want momentum, you’ll have to get up and create it yourself. And the longer the wait, the harder it will be.
Hence the words of Ryan Holiday,
“If you want momentum, you’ll have to create it yourself, right now, by getting up and getting started.”
Motivation and momentum and aren’t like a lightning strike; they don’t suddenly hit you. You can’t just wait until you feel “inspired” to act.
Rather, you have to create it for yourself every single day by taking small steps in the right direction. You have to move towards the future you want to create rather than relive out your past.
Wrote Benjamin P. Hardy, “You can only be motivated if you’re moving forward.” Thus, it becomes very important to develop momentum and experience continual growth.
