How to Eliminate Distractions and Focus on What Really Matters
Getting clarity in an age of distraction
Most people can’t remember the last time they were able to focus on a singular task for more than 10 minutes.
Indeed, the norm of today isn’t to have true clarity and focus. Rather many have exchanged their ability to go deep for a shallow and unintentional life of mindless and reactive sleepwalking.

“Most people mindlessly and reactively walk through life. They are unaware just how much their environment is shaping them. They are unconsciously becoming something they wouldn’t want to be.”
And that couldn’t be more true. In an interview, Professor Clifford Nass explained that he once tried to conduct an experiment in which people would have to eliminate all distractions and stop multitasking for a single week.
Despite offering money and an array of other benefits, no one would do it claiming that it would “destroy their social lives.”
