According to several psychologists, our fear of the “unknown” is the foundation of all fears. And as a result, most people simply seek to live a comfortable life.
We shield ourselves from uncertainty with the false sense of “security” from a paycheck, routines that keep us busy but not productive, and a various collection of other titles and degrees.
Although the problem is that any true sense of “security” never comes from something external, but rather, is completely internal.
As Benjamin P. Hardy has said,
“Rather than hoping for something external to change your circumstances, mentally reframe yourself and your circumstances.”
