If You’re Not Getting Critics, You’re Probably Not Being True to Yourself

How to ignore haters and live your truth.

Many of my top-performing articles have first been rejected by big publications. People used to question why I would spend so much time writing, until I turned it into a career.

Indeed, no longer do I allow naysayers to dictate my choices in life. Instead, I simply use them as fuel to keep pushing me in the right direction. As Scott Belsky has brilliantly said:

“When 99% of people doubt you, you’re either gravely wrong or about to make history.”

Similarly, Seth Godin argued, “If not enough people doubt you, you’re not making a difference.”

Whenever you begin doing something that isn’t necessarily traditional, you are likely to be met with resistance. However, this shouldn’t stop you…
