Own the Day, Own Your Life: A Simple Morning Routine to Make Everyday Your Best Day Ever
Aubrey Marcus wrote a fantastic book titled, Own the Day, Own Your Life. In that, he describes an array of productivity, nutrition, and mindset practices you can use to make your days and ultimately life progressively better.
However, what he forgets to mention is that if you simply wake up each morning and put first things first, then you're well and truly on the right track.
As Benjamin P. Hardy once wrote,
“How you start something is generally how you finish it. If you start right, you’ll usually be able to stay right. But if you start wrong, it’s very, very difficult to get things right.”
Indeed, Alex Charfen has similarly said that we are momentum-based beings. Everything in life is following your behavior. When you wake up and do what you intrinsically know you should do, the rest becomes so much easier.
Because you’d seen yourself do the right thing once, it becomes increasingly easier to do the right thing. Thus, momentum begins to build, and your days become progressively better.
